Skirts Galore

Hello World!

For this post in going to do something a little different, and I'm going to give you some tips on styling for a skirt

I absolutely love wearing skirts, especially because you can wear them in any season, and they always look good on everyone.

For a patterned skirt:

For a patterned skirt like this, I would keep your clothes in a simple colour pallet that uses the colours in the skirt
For this skirt, I would wear a grey or white shirt, and accessorise with a little splash of cool colours (blues and purples) and in winter wear solid black tights.

For a floral skirt, I would use a denim jacket and either a white shirt, or a plain shirt in the main colour from the skirt

Eg. Here I would use a pink or white shirt

Shoes
For skirts I nearly always wear either boots (black or brown) or high top solid black converses. For a light skirt or fancy dress, wear roman sandals or strappy sandals to really make it look good

There you have it!
I hope some of these tips were handy, go forth and wear skirts :)

School Hair Made Easy

Hello World!

I have realised over the past couple days that one of the hardest tasks in a girls life (first world problems) is finding a decent hairstyle for school. Now this may sound stupid, but sometimes you just want to go that extra mile and really get a hairstyle to impress.

1. The reverse braid bun
As hard as this hairstyle looks, it's actually super easy to make. If you're anything like me and absolutely suck at French braids, simple filp your hair over group the bottom section and just pull it over your hair, looks the same and is so much easier.

2. Side plait
This hairstyle is super nice and is super super easy. I usually do this one with four small braids across the head, and then loosen the bun for a nice messy but controlled look.

3. Twsit ponytail
Another really easy one, just pull even sized sections from either side of your head, twist them tightly and use bobby pins to hold them in place while you twsit the rest. Then, pull the braids and the rest of your hair into a ponytail and tie. Once there, grab the twists, pull the bobby pins off and wrap the hair around the hair tie.

4. Half up half down
This hairstyle has to be one of my favourites coz I absultley adore it. Simply spilt your hair in half just above your ears, and pull into a ponytail, leaving the bottom half down. For curly hair, I recommend taking the side bits just behind your ears into the ponytail as well, as it makes your hair sit nicer, and also gives the impression of being a single ponytail.

So there you have it!!
I hope some of these hairstyles really help you, and if any of you guys know any more back to school hairstyles, leave a comment below and let me know :)

May- favourites

Hello World!
So we have yet again come full circle, and yet another month is over!

I have decided to make a new tradition and have decided to make a monthly favourites. Every month I will post to you guys what I have loved the most, and what I think you should try

First edition, May!
Item one: favourite food

My favourite food of May is vegimite chocolate. As strange as it sounds, it actually tastes amazing and I love eating it. I hate vegimite but I adored the chocolate

Item two: Favourite clothing item
Winter coats. I have a coat similar too this and I absolutely adore it. It's so warm and cozy, and I wear it everywhere. Not to mention is very fashionable and in right now.

Item three: Favourite make- up product
The revlon custom eyes natural compact. For someone like me who isn't great looking when wearing make- up, the compact is great with the natural looking colours. My favourite is the gold on the right, which gives a really natural look while still looking amazing

Item Four: favourite drink
Words can't express how much I love this drink. It is such a delight to drink and it tastes amazing. I highly reccomend this drink.

Item five: favourite book
Despite having been released a while ago, I only just discovered this series and I absolutely love it (look out for a book review soon)

Item six: favourite hair style
So this is sort of an inverted French braid, and even if it's not the real name this is what I call it (if someone knows please tell me it's real name). This hairstyle looks great, especially if you have coloured hair, it really brings out the colour.

So that's it for now, hope you enjoyed it, and make sure to check some of those products out, they really are amazing
